On 26th January, 2018, Asia-Pacific Institute of Management (AIM), New Delhi, celebrated India’s 69th Republic Day with all zest and fervour.

The day started with the chief guest, Shri B.B.L. Madhukar, unfurling the national flag in the presence of Sh. A.K. Shrivastava, the chairman at Asia-Pacific Institute of Management, Sh. S.P. Chauhan, , Professor (OB & HR) and Officiating Director at the institute, faculty, staff, and students. National anthem filled the air with emotions of patriotism and deep gratitude for millions of martyrs who lost their lives to bring alive the long cherished dream of an independent India, free from the British rule.

Shri Chauhan addressed the audience and wished them all a very happy Republic Day! He then proceeded to talk about the importance of celebrating the day and how we need to get together to empower India in all ways possible. He also spoke on the importance of character and how we all should put in our hundred per cent in the work we do at our work places.

Shri Madhukar, the chief guest at the event, also spoke to the audience about what the day is all about, and his childhood memories associated with the Republic Day. At the end of his speech, he asked the audience to never forget that they all owe to their motherland, and should start thinking and doing what they can in their capacities to shape up a better India in the year to come.  The Beating Retreat ceremony at Wagah border was also shown in the campus auditorium.
