Orientation Program for Batch 2018-20 – June 28th Events

On June 28th, 2018, Asia-Pacific Institute of Management, one of the top MBA colleges in Delhi NCR, had invited Mr. Satyajeet Rajan, Director General at Ministry of Tourism, Mrs. Ranjana Mittal, Additional General Manager & Sr. Corporate Trainer at NTPC, and Pawan Srivastava from CavinKare.

Mr. Satyajeet Rajan spoke about the severe shortage of skilled youth in the country, India as a land of opportunities, and enormous career opportunities before the skilled youth. In his unique style, he narrated the incidents from his own personal and professional life, and advised the new batch students to prepare themselves to grab the most of opportunities that their PGDM programs offer.

Later on, we had Mrs. Ranjana Mitta on stage who recollected her days in her MBA college, the exposure she got at the college and later on in the corporate world, and also spoke about the 3 steps to achieve anything one wants to achieve in one’s life. Mid way in her speech, she also played a video of Roger Federer, the transformation he went through in his life and career, and importance of branding on professional life. The session turned quite engaging and interactive with students of the new batch putting forth questions related to their PGDM / MBA programs, and getting entry into the corporate world.

Mr. Pawan Srivastava from CavinKare started his session with an introduction about his company, and his role and growth that he achieved in his personal and professional life. He shared several instances from his life that inspired the students to look at life from a different perspective. Throughout the session, our guest of honor showed clips of different movies, including Rocket Singh, Chak De India, and Lagaan to motivate the students to think creatively and never give up come what may.

All in all, the guest talks were informative and engaging and helped our students get to know about the best routes to get ready for the industry.
